MR. MAUI

Mr. Maui is a DJ and producer from the Canary Islands whose musical roots run deep — long before stepping into the booth, he was a drummer and percussionist in several live groups. That percussive instinct now defines his sound: organic textures, tribal grooves and Atlantic warmth at the heart of every set.

Specialising in Afro House, Organic House and Afro Latino at 120-125 BPM, he became a pioneer in the Canary Islands for blending electronic music with more organic sounds, creating major events where the two genres meet in a striking musical and visual spectacle.

His career took off in Gran Canaria, where he quickly became a key figure in the local Afro House scene. He has performed at iconic venues including Blue Marlin Ibiza Sky Lounge (Amazona residency), Selvática, Tropicalia, Papagayo, Hanoi Club and the renowned BAKKARA event in Las Palmas — even taking his sound internationally to Africa.

He has shared the bill with leading names of the genre such as DJ Chus, G. Zamora, M.E.M.O., Aaron Sevilla, Macarena Hoffman, Wildness Rose and Claudia León, building a network that has positioned him as one of the rising names of Spanish Afro House.

As a producer, his catalogue grows steadily on respected imprints including Café de Anatolia, YHV Records, Caelum Records, Exx Chill, Selvática Records, Batuque Records and Native Music — with recent releases such as "UMAII", "Shadow", "Maobak", "Ngona" and "Under The Moonlight" consolidating his presence in the international Afro House and Organic House scene.
