RAUL PARRA
"Three decades of vinyl craft — Raul Parra commands the decks with avant-garde techno, EBM and industrial fury since the age of 11."
Raul Parra is a multidisciplinary techno artist from Castilla-La Mancha whose story begins in the most cinematic way: at just 11 years old in 1994, he started spinning records at home, following the steps of his older DJ brother. By 15 he had already mastered the art of three and four turntable sessions — a technical foundation that still defines his sets today.
At 16 he was crowned national DJ champion by Pro Audio, defeating competitors from across the country. Backed by his fundamental mentor DJ Pelacha, he became a resident at the techno room of the legendary Arena group in Madrid — a milestone that would put his name on the national circuit forever.
"The youngest DJ ever nominated as Best National DJ — Raul Parra has never stopped surprising the public, going from avant-garde techno to the most uncompromising electro techno, EBM and industrial."
In 2002 he was nominated for Best National DJ for the first time, becoming the youngest artist ever to enter that category. His career then crossed borders: in 2011 he debuted internationally in a London warehouse with Illusion Sound, and he became a resident of the cult Family Club (Toledo) alongside Luis MF, the legendary venue where the biggest international names rotate every month.
As a producer, his catalogue lives on the international techno underground: Serial Killer Vinyl, AFU Limited, Unknown Pleasures, I-Traxx Recordings, Red Editions, Nu Body, Black Montanas and Black Leather. He was hand-picked alongside Scalameriya, Sarin, Phase Fatale and Delectro to remix the mythical Thomas P. Heckmann on AFU Limited.
His track "LDD" was featured by Dave Clarke in his Whitenoise 688 radio show as one of his top 10 tracks of the week — a milestone in any techno career. National press (EL MUNDO, LA RAZÓN, Mondosonoro, Primera Línea) and TV programs like Miradas Dos (TVE) have followed his trajectory as one of Spain's most consistent techno artists, equally at home with avant-garde techno, electro techno, EBM and pure industrial.
"Raul Parra has never stopped surprising the public — going from avant-garde techno to the most uncompromising EBM and industrial with three decades of vinyl craft behind every set.
